Need a dose of hope for today? I think we all do. Look to greatest source of hope–the word of God.
“We rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. and hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.” Romans 5:2-5
“No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame.” Psalm 25:3
“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.” Hebrews 6:19
As I write this, I am in the days awaiting my mother’s funeral. I am comforted and blessed by the word of God. He is our true hope and strength!
“I will lift my eyes up to the hills, where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:1-2
