JANUARY = Goals and Resolutions

January 13, 2009

It’s well in January, the month of goals and resolutions.

The great philospher, Anonymous, has said…

“A new year’s resolution is something that goes in one Year and comes out the other.”

Consider these Fast Facts About New Year’s Resolutions

  • 63% of people say they are keeping their resolutions after two months
  • 67% of people make three or more resolutions
  • Top four resolutions:
    1. Increase exercise
    2. Be more conscientious about work or school
    3. Develop better eating habits
    4. Stop smoking, drinking, or using drugs (including caffeine)
  • People make more resolutions to start a new habit than to break an old one.

Here are some noble ones:

—to eat more chocolate

—to lose weight.

(Truly those been resolutions of my dear husband).

How about this one—to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Hmmmm, that’s right from 2 Peter 3:18. Sounds pretty good.

Take steps daily to spend quiet time with the Lord through reading, prayer, and meditation.

Seek God for wisdom on the issues in your life.

Let His love show through you.
